Project Possibilities-Stigma: To assess and advance understanding of Alabama’s community corrections personnel (CCPs) views of community corrections participants (e.g., probation, parole) who use substances to develop a multi-pronged, tailored stigma reduction-focused training and implementation program. Tied to this need, Project Possibilities also aims to increase understanding of the challenges faced by current and/or recently released community corrections participants. Doing so will help to clarify both the complexities faced by this highly vulnerable population when navigating community corrections and consequently, the challenges faced by CCPs as they attempt to provide re-entry services.
